Salmon fishing is available on Loch Morie and
the Glasa River, a spate river forming the upper
watershed of the Alness. Loch Morie, which is
over two miles long, also contains char, challenging
brown trout and some large ferox trout, the largest
in recent years weighing 15lbs 4ozs. There are
two boats available on Loch Morie and there are
four other productive trout lochs each with its
own boat.

is one of the few large natural lochs in this
part of the Highlands and is renowned for the
quality of its trout fishing. Annual catches have
regularly been in excess of 1,000 trout, averaging
about half a pound, although fish up to 5lbs have
been caught. There is additional trout fishing
on Loch Coulavie, which generally has a reputation
for larger trout, and also on the Affric River.
